Where to dispose of it?
Used motor oil can be disposed of at more than 55 recycling collection sites throughout Latvia.

We offer 200-liter drums or 1-ton IBC containers for storing used oil.
Pickup times:
- Within Riga – up to 5 business days
- Outside Riga – up to 15 business days from receipt of the request
! We also issue a waste disposal certificate confirming that the waste has been processed correctly and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Collection of Used Tires
Used tires are hazardous waste that must not be disposed of with household trash or left in the environment. They decompose very slowly, can contaminate soil and water, and pose an increased fire risk.
SIA “Oil Recovery” ensures the safe collection and transfer of used tires for further recycling. Recycled tires can be used, for example, in rubber granules, road surfaces, and sports field surfaces.
Acceptance Terms
- Fee for accepting a single tire: 3.50 EUR (VAT included).
- Tires are accepted at the “Oil Recovery” facility in Riga, at 39C Tvaika Street, on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Please call +371 29359191 to schedule a time and confirm the number of tires to be dropped off before arriving.
- We accept only clean tires without rims.

- Truck or mixed tires - 150 EUR/t (excl. VAT)
- Industrial, tractor, damaged, and Soviet-era tires - 275 EUR/t (excl. VAT)
- Motorcycle and bicycle tires - 150 EUR/t (excl. VAT)
Transportation Services
- Transportation - 70 EUR/h (excl. VAT)
- Loading – 90 EUR/h (excl. VAT)
- The minimum rental period for equipment is 3 hours.
- The time is recorded from the moment the vehicle leaves the base at 39C Tvaika Street, Riga.

Ship Waste Management
SIA “Oil Recovery” provides collection and management of ship-generated waste in the Freeport of Riga (Rīgas Brīvosta) in accordance with the requirements of the MARPOL Convention and Latvian regulations. The service is focused on safe, traceable, and environmentally responsible waste management.
We accept
- oil-containing waste: bilge water, ballast water, tank washings, and oil sludge
- sewage in accordance with MARPOL Annex IV
- solid waste in accordance with MARPOL Annex V: plastics, food waste, domestic and operational waste

How does management work
- We collect waste using specialized vessels and land-based transport.

- Waste reception from ships is handled by two vessels and several land-based transport units.

Road Transport Services
SIA “Oil Recovery” operates a fleet of 24 specialized road transport vehicles designed for the transport of hazardous waste. We ensure the safe and efficient transport of various types of waste in accordance with environmental safety requirements and applicable regulations.
Vehicle Fleet
- Tank trucks with and without pumping equipment for transporting various types of contaminated water, liquid petroleum waste, other liquids, and used oil (capacity ranging from 6 m³ to 32 m³).
- Vacuum trucks with high-pressure washing capabilities for the extraction and transport of petroleum waste and other liquids.
- Container carriers with a manipulator for the collection and transport of dry bulk waste, bulky waste, used tires, and other waste (container capacity from 20 m³ to 40 m³).
- Dump semi-trailer for transporting soil contaminated with petroleum products and absorbents.
- Moving floor semi-trailer with a 90 m³ capacity for transporting bulky, dry bulk, and packaged waste.

Management of Waste Containing Asbestos and Slate
Asbestos is a material hazardous to health and is classified as hazardous waste. Therefore, its collection, transportation, and disposal must be carried out with particular care, in compliance with all safety requirements.
SIA “Oil Recovery” offers asbestos waste management services in prepaid Big Bags to customers who do not have a contract for hazardous waste management.
